If your kids are budding little artists who could draw all day and every day if they had the chance, take a look at these drawing apps to keep them entertained at home or on-the-go.
Another drawing tool I love for kids is Sketchpad 4.0. This is not an iPad app… this is a web-based drawing program written in HTML5 instead of Flash. This means is that it works on the iPad while Flash-based programs do not. Sketchpad 4.0 has some more complicated features such as layers but these do not need to be used. What children will enjoy the shapes, objects and ability to add images from their camera roll. Click here to try Sketchpad on your computer or iPad. You’ll want to have a mouse handy to use this on the computer and a stylus if you are using the iPad. While using a finger to draw on the iPad works perfectly fine, a stylus often works better for young children. For little hands, I really like the iCreate Crayon Stylus (see below) because it is wide and comfortable for young children to hold.
If you are looking for apps that foster creativity, imagination and the development of artistic abilities, the apps mentioned earlier are highly recommended.
